When I feel alone It makes me want to run. I carry my fears before I open the door but when I return I feel less lonely, it helps me feel good with myself. I stopped running and I miss it so much. I’ve started couch to 5k again trying to build up strength.
I’d love to share my runs with someone but finding a running partner seems a bit difficult. I guess this is why I am sharing this with you, because maybe someone reads this and understands.
Wishing everyone a happy run this weekend.

Well done to you.I think a lot of people will understand your post and be able to identify with it.It’s inspirational and I really like that quote about building confidence.
I look forward to hearing about your couch to 5k journey and there are lots of friendly faces here who will feel the same.
I continue to be a slow but steady runner, going at my own pace.
I sometimes feel anxious going out running on my own but take a deep breath and do it as I do feel really pleased with myself after I have done the run!
Welcome!!! There are many runners here that run mostly with a lot of virtual running buddies found on this forum!
I myself am such a slow runner, so running on my
own is for me the best, but I'm never alone.
Coming on here after my runs gives me motivation. I can talk through any difficulties I've encountered. And I can gather so many ideas of how to take my own running journey forward.
So It's brilliant that you have found your way here, and so well done for starting C25k again!!!
Please do share your runs here. We love reading them. It’s great to hear that you’re getting out there. Running is such a brilliant way to uplift both body and mind. You’ve got this. Looking forward to following your journey.
Hi I feel you on this sometimes it is difficult to make that step out the door, so I took the giant step and joined a Running club on their C25K, I only meet with them once a week but it really keeps me motivated. There is also Run Talk Run for when you up to 5K no matter what pace, have a look see if there is one locally.
Thanks for this I definitely have to go back to the local running club. It’s more my social anxiety than feeling that I won’t be able to run really but still not that easy to overcome.
I think running just makes you feel better even if you don't feel like going. You always feel better when you've finished and clears the head. Good luck and keep running 🏃♂️
Hi I mainly run on my own apart from Parkrun on. Saturdays but I feel I have lots of running buddies on this forum, always willing to motivate, support and enthuse so don't worry. Write about your runs on here, we all do and it's a great sharing place. Happy running!😃🏃♀️
I've had some back niggles this week but I finally got started yesterday morning at 7.30 am! I've re-started at week 2 run 1 and it went all right, though the final run had me wheezing a bit
