I am very grateful to everyone that's taken the time to reply. I have received some great advice and tips.
I should have added in the original post that I was setting the treadmill incline to 1 and in the latter weeks 2.
Definitely the wind has played a major part in throwing my breathing off kilter.
Having read your responses.
I'm going to invest in a buff, return to intervals, and most importantly for now I am not going to worry about how long I can run for . I'm just going to embrace running for the pure joy of it. Enjoying the fact that I can do it .π

Happy to read your post, Iβm also worried as this will be me in the summer first time outside as a new runner. Like you I have given it a lot of thought actually itβs on my mind daily as I donβt want to lose what I have worked so hard for. I will just play it by ear or legs and see how it goes. If it means only running / jog for 10 mins I will be fine with that and build on it. Iβm not going to push myself but I am thinking will my breathing or pace be out, will the outdoor weather affect me, will I be wearing the correct shoes etc etc I need to stop over thinking it and remember Iβm doing this for fitness and fun! Will keep an eye on your posts to see how you do any tips will be welcome.
EEEEEK.... overthinking...! It is so, so hard not to, but you need to try to relax and let your running simply evolve. Overthinking things ( not running in my case) gave me such a blip in October 2020 that I had to stop running!
I repeated C25K taking a long time to re-Graduate in June 2021.
Running outside? You will love it.
Every single run is different, each bringing its own joys and yes, maybe some challenges too, but different. You run through the seasons, experiencing every sight , sound and smell.
From crisp , ice-clear mornings, with everything a' sparkle , to dry, warm sunshine days with a hazy shimmer over sun baked ground... I could go on and on.
There is a wealth of information on here regarding running gear, the correct shoe and everything else.... past posts and pinned posts, will give you all the support you need. No worried there; all you need to do, is just ask and do share, as you are here, your experiences and tips with other forum friends.
