Back at it again: week 1 run 1

I have finally decided to give running a go again. I completed the C25K quite a while ago but stopped running just over a year due to stressful training and then work commitments which gave me no free time. Now I’ve changed up my career I think it’s time to give it a shot again.

Week 1 run 1 was a little tougher than anticipated but I’m also not the healthiest at the moment. Despite that I feel proud of taking the step and this time I’ll have my partner running alongside me.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Keep posting and enjoy your journey.

As has been said, the first step is the hardest; slow and steady and on you go:)
