W1R2 completed.

Restarted running after 3yr layoff. Lockdown changed my lifestyle & routine & eventually I stopped exercising altogether. Started picking it up again. Bought myself windproof fluorescent jacket. Great to be out jogging again. Embracing the wind & rain & will treat myself to some new running shoes although probably try ones for trails this time as seem to incline towards the off road muddy routes. It’s good to be back!

Welcome back to the forum and well done on restarting.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thanks Iannodatruffle, it’s good to be back. Taking this reset more seriously this time. Read & watched everything about pre & post stretching. Jogging as slow as possible & simply enjoying the exercise. Thanks for the continued inspiration
