My first post Couch to 5K run this morning and it was my longest run yet. 35 minutes. Wet underfoot but calm and mild. Really enjoyed it and know I can do even more. New App worked well too…

Well done.

Please have some structure to your running, as so many new graduates just go and do a bit more and a bit more, because they feel good, until they get injured by overdoing it.

I am not suggesting that you have been rash but the 10% rule, which is applied to increase of weekly training load, is a safe and sensible guide for all runners to bear in mind.

We do recommend that graduates consolidate for a few weeks until totally comfortable with the 30mins/5k they achieved during the plan, before increasing distance or work on speed, as mentioned in the guide to post C25K running healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep running, keep smiling.
