Waking up this morning was a struggle! But I have an early shift at work today and I really wanted to squeeze a run in so I dragged myself out of bed. I set out just before 6:30 and initially I wasn’t feeling fab! I was still a bit sluggish from waking up and it was cold and dark outside whereas my bed was cosy and warm! But you know what, I had a great run! I did a pretty leisurely 5K and although it was dark at first the sun came up as I was running and that was pretty cool! The streets were quiet and peaceful, my mind was calm and my body became energised. By the end of the run I felt amazing. That’s the magic of a run! You can set out feeling one way and end up feeling completely different - feeling good! I could have stayed in bed for that extra hour, but I’m glad I didn’t because I wouldn’t feel as amazing as I do now! I’ve kicked off my day with something positive!
So that’s it! I just wanted to spread the positive vibes and maybe remind anybody that’s struggling for motivation today of the magic of a run 🏃♀️🪄⭐️
Happy running everyone!

Resonate with this post so much! A run really can shift your mood dramatically and I'm also glad I did a run and never regret it - definitely useful to remember! Would love to become an early runner someday!
I always used to run in the afternoon/evening cause I’m not great at waking up! But I think I much prefer running in the morning now I’ve gotten used to it! It’s usually nice and peaceful and it’s just the best way to start the day! I’d recommend giving it a go when you can, see how you find it
