Finished W9R2 this morning

One run left before graduating! I first started with a C25K app that was free for the first 4 runs. Then I found the NHS podcasts and continued with that and I’m so glad that I did. I found the first four and a half weeks difficult but doable. On W5R3 I found I couldn’t do the twenty minutes straight. I had been reading the posts that said to slow down, and I did, but it wasn’t until someone posted a link to a YouTube video by a man in Japan showing how to slow run that I understood that I was still going too fast for me.

After watching that video and slowing way down, I was able to complete weeks 5, 6, 7 and 8. Now, in week 9, I have run for 30 minutes straight - twice!

At the start of summer I decided to challenge myself with C25K, not knowing if I could succeed. I followed the podcasts and read a lot of the helpful posts here. Now, in two days time, I am confident that I will be successful and graduate. I am grateful to have found this site and so very proud of myself for getting this far!

It’s an incredible feeling

Congratulations :) It sounds like you're perfectly set up to not only graduate from c25k but to keep going from strength to strength in the future, whatever your goals may be. When you post your graduation run you'll get a link to post c25k running tips etc, but I think it's also in the pinned posts if you want to take a look in advance.
