So the doctor said 4-6 weeks rest due to my LCL sprain, but Iโ€™m stubborn and know my body and I had no pain in my knee for a few days! So I went for a run this morning with my knee support on , wasnโ€™t my best time, but Iโ€™m back & it feels good .

It sounds like a case of "too much too soon" to me.

Looking at your previous posts, you've gone straight from 25 minutes to 40 minutes (and 5km).

Week 8 is 28 minutes maximum.

Ligament sprains take a long time to heal, and you need to ease back in gradually after one.

This time last year I was a victim of "too much too soon" and spent the whole of September recovering from a bad ankle sprain.

As long as you had no pain at all because running on a painful injury can make it chronic! But if you felt pain free go for it! Love the bounce back! Iโ€™m in a similar position with my hip! Running is blood sport ๐Ÿคฃ
