First day of holiday today and I was up and out of the door before the alarms ⏰ were even due to go off. What was that all about??? I was in a strange mindset this morning though, I've been itching to get out and have a run 🏃♀️ but have been unable due to the sheer number of hours work I've had to put in this week, but having not slept well last night and actually feeling pretty exhausted mentally and physically I literally had to give myself a kick up the backside to get out the door this morning. 😴
I'm so glad I did. It's cleared my head and I feel so much better for it. I actually managed 4k this morning which is my furthest run and I managed it in just under 37 minutes which again is my longest running time. I'm going to join our local park run tomorrow which I'm quite excited about.
My advice- don't procrastinate and think of reasons why you can't do it. Just get out there, have fun and enjoy the feeling afterwards.
Happy Friday everyone.

Well done you for getting out there, I’m back in the office now and the stress and tiredness has reappeared but keeping up the running even if just a short run just gives me so much time to put my head straight and de stress! This running lark is good for us in so many ways 🏃♀️Happy park run I still need to sign up 🧐
Hi. Thank you. I'm so with you on the stress and tiredness. I've gone up to 4 long days a week during all the holidays. It's been killing me and I am honestly so physically and mentally tired that I've been in bed and asleep by 8pm. Things will change come September and I should have alot more me time so I just need to hang on. Am on holiday now for just over two weeks. Going to be interesting finding running routes up in Scotland. I'm looking forward to trying the park run tomorrow. I'm doing the race for life in October and am determined that I will be running 5k by then xx
I think that lovely fresh early air cannot be beaten to get the body up and going. . I hope you enjoy tomorrow , I have never done a parkrun ( I am only on week 7) but my time will come. 37 minutes of running is awesome .
I agree with you entirely. Have so much more energy today from being out. Not sure I am mentally in a better place at the moment as getting stressed at the hubby who is faffing about holiday stuff lol.You will get there. I remember week 7 very clearly. I find I am enjoying the runs much more now that I can do what I want.
Thank you so much.I've been so tired this week that it's been a struggle with the alarms. Weirdly today I was wide awake although I hadn't slept well. Going to keep plodding along.
Ah a great run 🐧 girl1! You are so right about not overthinking it - I remember having an awful night’s sleep which left me with a cracking headache, but a run really sorted it out 😊. Hope you enjoy the park run! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
