I started today. Had to force myself to get up and out there. Fine once I got going. The thing is to just get going and see where it takes you. Good luck 🧶

You can do it. I know that because I did it. I would suggest a healthy eating plan if you want to lose weight too as this alone won’t make you lose weight. I used slimming world. Good luck. This app is life changing 😍

Welcome to the forum. You'll more likely gain weight as running builds muscle which is heavier than fat, read this post before starting the programme.

You've got the app !That's a start .

Don't concentrate on loosing five stone !

Every journey starts with that first step .

Give yourself manageable targets along the way .

No matter how much or how little weight you may loose you will be fitter by doing this .

Concentrate on getting out of the door and having a go at run 1.

What do you have to loose ?

Go on , give it a go 😁

13 months ago I couldn't run for a bus !

I was 64 years old and never run in my life !

I have just come back in this morning after my run , I was out nice and early before it got to warm and now feel set up for the day

Go on, make a start !

You know it makes sense 😁👍

2nd Tasha99 recommendation of Slimming World. It worked for me . I've actually gained 2 or 3 pounds since doing c25k but I'm more toned and "compact" and a hundred times fitter. Go for it x

hi I think the general rule of thumb is if you can walk briskly for 30 minutes you can start the programme. Lots of people get the app and then there's a delay in starting, so that's normal. What helped me was to pick a few people in the same boat as me ie age, gender, weight, etc and follow their progress, with a sort of "if they can do it so can i" attitude (i know this is a non competitive forum but it just shoved me into action so it worked right?!)Anyway good luck if you do choose to commit, every day there are new posts here so you can feel inspired/commiserated/congratulated/not alone.
