Final run tomorrow

I graduate tomorrow and I’m feeling good.

The only thing Is that I can only do 2.2k in 30 mins.

I know I’ve read slot that 5k is not needed but lately from the posts I’ve been reading 2.2k is extremely low.

Should I be putting more effort in or is this an ok pace?

Only you know how your running feels. If it feels right then it is right! Remember this is only the very start of your running journey. If you're enjoying it and staying injury free then you're laying good foundations.

Enjoy your graduation run!

I would just get through the programme and worry about distance or speed later. Running for 30 mins means different things to different people.

I am running my final run tomorrow too - best of luck, see you at graduation!

C25K is about building your base endurance, not about speed.

Once you graduate you can work on speed.

Running is a lifelong journey, you are a graduate with your next run, so exciting! I just compared my own progress from the start of the program to the last. I was so happy I could run!!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

I’m about to do my last run too and I’m just about at 3k but I echo the other’s comments, just get through at the pace you’re happy with and then build up. It’s amazing that we’re all doing it. I gave myself 18 weeks to do the course thinking I might have to repeat due to my size but I haven’t so far and so am now going to use the rest of the weeks to get to 5k. I’m clearly a plodder but have kept injury free so I’m happy. Good luck

Echoing the other posts, if you can feel your muscles, heart, and lungs working when you run you are already putting enough effort in. Speed is irrelevant if your body is doing the work. Over time your body will become more efficient at running and you'll speed up gradually.

If it makes you feel any better I don't even look at my distances, and I'm sure they'd be less than yours if I did check.

In the meantime, well done for getting so far and best of luck with your last run!
