Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Starting week 7 tomorrow. Week 1 was hard/ a shock as definitely didn’t consider myself a runner. But now I do. Really enjoying it. Never thought I’d say that 🏃‍♀️ Enjoy 😊

Hi, you can do this!!! I really enjoyed week 1. I'm on week 2 now and about to do w2r1 tonight so I'm a little nervous but also looking forward to it. Let us know how you get on.

You'll love it! I didn't think I would now look forward to my runs. Read the advice. Do the stretches. And come back here to ask questions and get motivated. I'm just about to head out for W3R2. Can't wait. Especially as the weather is beautiful. Well done again. The first step is the hardest.😀

I’m on week 1 r3, and the best thing I can say is just do it. I made a lot of excuses before starting but now that I have I’m determined to finish. It’s taking me a little longer due to the nature of my job but I’m going to continue at my own pace. I completed the stretches properly after run 2 and the difference was amazing no aches and pains. I hope you enjoy your journey and keep posting x

Hello & welcome 👋When we started lots of us could never imagine running for 30minutes straight! Many of us weren’t runners, some of us just sat on the sofa watching murder documentaries! (Ok, just me then)

Now, some of us can run for longer than 30minutes, some of us watch you tube videos of races and marathons and scour sports websites for trainers and other running paraphernalia.

This forum is brilliant, a more welcoming group of people and super knowledgeable admins and mods you’ll probably never see.

You keep posting and we will keep you motivated! ☺️

You can do this. We have, and we thought we couldn't, but we dug deep and with the support on here did it.Remember, we are all here to help and encourage you every step of the way. Ask us anything. Shout and scream at us if it helps, but we will never give up on you.

S L O W and steady is what is needed.
