Yo!
Itโs been a week since I posted about my first week of consolidation runs, so hereโs the low down on week 2.
First run: nice and easy 30mins using NRC and enjoyed it. Stuck to a well known route of mine to keep it simple- didnโt want any issues after a weekend of scoffing Easter eggs ๐
Second run: Another NRC 30mins run, Controlling my breathing and using that as a guide as to speeding up or slowing down. Did some hills today too, it went quite well.
Third run: Another dawn run today - 5K achieved using the NRC again....shock and awe that Iโm actually getting faster. Today each of my splits were PRโs and I am chuffed to bits to see some progress and that all five of them were consistent and at the same pace within a second or two. I canโt say I was trying any harder than normal - it just happened. So, something is working!
Today my husband was also out on his daily run and we passed each other going in opposite directions so we had a high five moment and it dawned on me as I was finishing that weโve turned into the couple that runs....๐คช๐
Super excited about finally getting a gait analysis done next week. Itโs long overdue and I really do need some proper fitting trainers! Iโm pretty sure that now Iโve been running consistently for 11 weeks that itโs likely that I will keep going now.
