So I recently restarted Couch to 5k from the beginning having had Covid (& then long Covid) and graduated again today 🎉
My question is, would you still continue running for 30 minutes (averaging 3.5k) or push on time wise to achieve 5k? Before having Covid I was running 5k twice a week and 10k at the weekend but it seems so much harder this time round 😩
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Personally, once a week mid adviser to push on to 5k. Well maybe week 1 push to 4K one and two times 30 minutes. Week 2 go for one 4.5k run. Week 3 go for the 5k. Huge well done. You could probably start bridging to 10k after that if you wanted using the programme on the bridge to 10k forum.
Thank you, that sounds like really good advice. Problem is, I’m so impatient and want to be able to run like I did before 😬 I just want to enjoy it again so don’t want to go injuring myself or something! Slow and steady is the way forward I suppose.
Oooh, glad you’re recovered and back out there. Decide on a plan, but listen to your body. I’m sure it will tell you if it’s coping or if you need to slow the process down a little. Well done on your come back!
