Hi
I am new here.
I'm doing couch to 5k and just finished week one!
What sort of excercises could I do inbetween my running days?
Kind wishes,

Top advice above, as always. Also, anything you do, do it slowly and build up resistance. Learn how to stretch with quality and patience. Don't go enthusiastic with push ups and planks, work and discover your muscle groups. With stretching, remember that discomfort is good but pain is not. My good stretching may be your bad stretching hence always (ALWAYS) listen to your body first. A few years down the line you'll be shocked what gratitude your own body will express.
Thank you so much xx I’ve come down from 81kg to 75 - got a way to go!
Well, all is doable if you really want do make adjustments, push and do it. The easiest and often fairly popular option is to do nothing. Don't ever do nothing. Your body may temporarily love you but your brain will know it's all wrong. Go out there, run, stretch, rest, run, etc, and watch your diet. It's literary that simple. Easy? Nope. Rewarding? Oh yes.
Try things that don't impact your joints. I love swimming. I go to a core stability class and I've been trying yoga at home.
Good luck
I’m going to give yoga a go plus try the ab workouts from the nhs as well. I love swimming it’s so good
There are some great YouTube videos. Yoga with Adrienne. I started on the beginner ones. They looked easy, I got a bit impatient and went on to the advanced ones. Within minutes I was reduced to a heap on the floor: not a chance 😳.
Welcome to the gang and well done on completing week 1.
Let us know how you get on with week 2
I will do week 2 commences tomorrow 🤪 I’m nervous about running for 90 seconds as bad as that sounds 😂
