So just completed W5R3...and to be honest this has been my favourite run so far, I was really worried about the 20 minute non stop but completely smashed it, I decided to listen to a motivational video I found on you tube just for a change from the norm amd time myself.... I just carried on running and didn't check the time until I became tired amd turned out I'd done 27 minutes and could have carried on for a few more however I didn't want to push myself too much so decided to stop at that. I cannot believe a few weeks ago I struggled with 60 seconds of running amd I've just done 20 minutes I'm so proud of myself amd just want to thank everyone on here for all the support and advice without your comment on here giving me that extra confidence I wouldn't have got to where I am now....I'm now gonna celebrate with a glass of red.....

You deserve that glass of 🍷, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾

Thank you for the advice, I'll bear that in mind

Congratulations.

Please stick to the plan. You can be motivated up to the eyeballs but if you do more than your body is conditioned to do then you considerably increase your risk of injury.

Most experienced runners use the 10% rule to increase their weekly training load...........you just exceeded that.

Take care.

Can you explain what the 10% rule is? Thankyou

This is good to read as I’m doing the same run tomorrow and I’m definitely worried about 20 mins straight. So this is just what I needed to hear 👍

I think I found it easier as you don't stop... just keep the pace slow and it just kind of happens... like I said this was my most enjoyable run so far so hopefully you have the same outcome... Good luck with it just get out there and enjoy it I'm sure you'll smash it
