I graduated last year but with all that has happened over the year my fitness dropped and I had to start all over again. I have always been confident that I could do it again so it all started well. Then I realised that my trusty trainers were looking very sorry for themselves. With the shops being shut my only option was to go online. Fortunately the label on my Reebok trainers (non specific BTW) was clear as was the size so I felt confident that I could get the same ones again. Unfortunately that didn't turn out to be the case. The Reebok (Now owned by Adidas I think) site was very good and I knew that I should get 'cushioned' as opposed to 'run light, run tough, or run long' as I am still overweight. I even managed to get an introductory discount of 20%. Trainers arrived promptly but felt very stiff. I decided that it would be foolish to run in them straight away so over the next couple of weeks I spent quite some time wearing them in by walking round town in them.
It was time well spent. As I ventured out this morning to do Wk7R1 it was with a certain amount of trepidation but I was soon in my stride and the run was completed successfully.
If I have learnt anything from following this program it is that the wise man heeds the advice of others, so I am eternally grateful for this site and the advice that it offers. Thank you.
