What a way to start a Monday- week 7 day 1!

Up nice and early (6am!!) to get the run done!!!

Question-I struggle with my breathing, any tips?

Also what are your go to stretches post run, and how long do you take over your stretches?

Slow down then you’ll be in control of your breathing🙂

I tried to control my breathing in earlier weeks but I couldn’t do it, I found that the more I thought about it the more out of control it became so I just forgot about it and thought about cake instead.

It’s probably more important to run with your breathing, keep reminding yourself of being able to speak out loud at a conversational pace (and yes I’ve actually said sentences out loud to check) if you can’t - then slow down, the breathing will eventually catch up. Slow and steady will build your system up and before you know it you’ll be running faster without realising it.

I’m sure everyone does slightly different stretches, depending on their needs but I hold mine for at least 30seconds each time and do at least three reps. Never timed myself doing the whole thing I usually stand in the kitchen chugging water like I’m doing funnel beers in Ayia Nappa back in the day!.....good times 👌🏼

Run 1 and Run 2 ✔ Our group took different routes on both runs so both seemed to end pretty quickly...
