Achey legs : Hi all. In all honesty I haven’t... - Couch to 5K
Achey legs
I used to have that leg thing behind one knee particularly until I started running. First three weeks were not great and then suddenly it all went away and my legs feel so much better (tired after a run obviously but generally much better).
Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
From your other posts here, I see you have some problems. Have you discussed starting running again with your doctor?
I used to get leg cramps regularly, often resulting in me jumping out of bed in the middle of the night and doing a rain dance around the bedroom. I've not had any recently.
If you're feeling really unfit, I'd suggest doing a few brisk walks of about 20-30 minutes to prepare you for the jogging to come.
