Week2R1 done- but did anyone feel nauseous?

Hi All!

I’m determined to keep going (I know, I’m still only at the very beginning!), after receiving such inspirational replies following my first post. I am so happy with my small achievement in completing week 1- and already feel slightly better now than I did at the start of week 1. However, I do find I feel slightly nauseous still at the end of each session; has anyone else encountered this? I’ve adapted my ‘run’ to be a slow jog, whereby I can talk at this speed if I wanted to (to myself!), so I’m not going too fast. I know I’ve not achieved a miracle and gained high fitness levels within just a week, but did anyone else suffer with any nausea initially? Am I doing something wrong, should I stop, or is this normal at the beginning? Any tips or advice VERY appreciated!!

Well done.

How long are you leaving between eating and running?

It was first thing, empty stomach. I struggle with having an appetite and often only eat one meal in the evening, and I’ve already found that if I attempt to run later on in the day on an empty stomach, I feel REALLY sick- whereas first thing has felt like a better idea!

When did you last eat? did you eat too soon before going out? have you not eaten enough and you have low blood sugar. I have felt a bit like this and I think it was because I pushed myself too hard.

I’ve been running first thing on an empty stomach. When do you find works best, and how long do you eat beforehand (if at all)? Would having something like a satsuma beforehand be a good idea, would you know? Thank you!!

I would say something small and leave an hour before running. I have porridge & toast and then would go out an hour after that. Some people have a couple of digestives and go out or a banana. I don’t like bananas so can’t do that! Maybe dry crackers or oatcakes?

I don't know what is causing your issue, but recommended gaps after eating is covered in the guide to the plan.
