Hi everyone, I’m on week 3 of my couch to 5k app session 1done. I’m really enjoying the app and have seen a good improvement in my fitness already I think the key is not to run at speed find a comfortable pace and try and regulate your breathing. Happy days running 🏃‍♀️ 😊

I've just done the same run as you. I think I've been going to fast, I've ended up working as hard as I would in an aerobics class. After reading stuff on this forum I really slowed down today, it helped that it was also really muddy 😁

Well done and welcome Hidden have a read of the plan it'll help you complete couch to 5 k 👍 remember those stretches for before and after running and drink that water 🙂

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

The slow pace not only makes it more achievable and enjoyable but it, counterintuitively, is the best pace to develop your runner's body.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
