Well done for starting! Where do you ache? Do you mean when you run or afterwards?
Are you drinking lots of water, especially on your rest days?

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
The aching stops when you stretch after every run.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.

Your body isn't use to the impact and even the gentle Week 1 is enough to make your muscles and joints let you know about it.
As long as jog slowly and take your rest days, you'll be fine.
Teething issues!
Well done for doing this! I’m like you both in age & not run in over 20 years! Read all the links that are provided. My knees were awful after R1, but I did the warm up exercises before run & cool down one’s after. Definitely make sure you are drinking plenty of water, especially after your run. I nice bath in the evening certainly helps ease the muscles also! Congratulations & keep going! 🙂
