You should never be nervous about any run.........it is counterproductive.
Two bits of reading to calm your nerves.
First a piece about mental approach healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Secondly a breakdown of W5 healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Relax and enjoy it.
Good luck!! You will do great π just keep those legs moving!!
It's funny. A year ago I'd have thought "Running for 20 minutes? Are you totally mad?" but today I think "20 minutes? That's just a quick stretch of the legs."
The point I'm making is that it's all relative, and the programme of C25K prepares you for this. Week 5 is actually one of the least demanding weeks in the whole scheme even though it looks formidable on paper. Weeks 4 and 6 are the sneaky ones.
Remember to not go fast when you're setting off. Maybe try to go a little slower than you normally do. The distance isn't important at all, only that you keep moving for the whole time.
Don't worry about it. You've already done a longer session (when you count the walk in the middle).
Well we both did it and feel very proud of us both.Thank you all for your kind words of wisdom tooππππ
