Feeling a little fed up 🙇🏽

Well, I got through an elongated 3weeks so far of the programme and I’ve loved it, I mean loved it. Never thought I’d love running but it’s a bug that is difficult to describe; well, you all know exactly what I mean.

Now I’ve got knee problems. All around the back of the knee. Can’t put much weight on it so it’s got to be about the impact. I’m rather fed up because as much as I try to rest, I get a couple of days back running to then have the damage again. I’m sure folks have been through this so I would humbly ask what advice anybody could suggest to get me going again!

Many thanks ❤️😊

For now follow the PRICE principles linked to in the guide to the plan and when pain free start strengthening exercises and stretching as linked to in the guide, as well as following the advice on minimising impact.

Are you resting for long enough? I've just had to take nearly two weeks off due to various leg issues including shins, and I know how annoying it is. As well as doing the leg strengthening exercises, I also decided I had to run off-road when I restarted. It's not that tempting at this time of year as my feet are soaked within a minute of starting, and it's slow going on the slippery ground/grass, but I decided it was the only way of getting back to running without a longer break and not repeating the impact injuries all over again. Good luck :s

When it's settled I would get gait analysis done and get some trainers suited to you. They can make a huge difference. I think the shops will be opening soon!
