I RAN FOR 6KM!!!!😱😱😱😱😱

I haven't posted much on here recently, but after graduating C25K last year, I injured myself. I think I had about 8 weeks to recover, possibly more...

I started using the app again at week 3 to see how I got on. Found that relatively easy so jumped to week 4 on the next run.

Got to week 5 and I couldn't make myself do the 20 min run. Think I went out and did the 2, 10 min runs for about a fortnight!

I know it was all in my head, so I gave myself a stern talking to one morning and just went for it. So glad that I did!

Think I did 20 min runs for another 2 weeks, then gradually pushed it till I was back at 30 mins.

It took me 4 months to get back there.

I've been enjoying my runs so much I'm even considering trying to reach 10k!!!!

Who am I?????

Anyway, I was covering about 4k in 30 mins, so thought I'd start trying for 4.5k, without putting a time limit on. With the intention of aiming for 5k by the end of the month.

Last night I went out thinking I'd just do 30 mins but would see how I felt.

Got to 4k and felt fine so just kept going. 4.5, still feel good, let's go for 5. Got to 5 and thought I'd just keep going to the end of the street....

5.5k. Wow. Still feel ok, keep going. Got to 6k and made myself stop, as I didn't want to do too much too soon but honestly could have kept going!

I have never IN MY LIFE run this far, or even thought I would.

I think I'm still trying to get my head round it! 🀯🀯🀯🀯🀯🀯

This from someone who, last April struggled to run for 1 single minute!!!

If I can do it anyone can. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺπŸ€―πŸ˜±πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ
