Running through snow
Hi i also have a dodgy knee and need to strap it up but i run 3 times a week and regularly run 8-9K. My knee does moan after but no pain running. We have only had one day of snow and it soon disappeared but understand your hesitance if there is snow on the ground. I think we all worry about slipping and injurying ourselves. Because then we wouldn't be able to run.
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
Perhaps if you have a bad knee it might be wise to start C25k from W1, just to gently condition your limbs to the impact of running. You may well be capable of doing more, but that gently progressive conditioning of your body is the basis of C25k. I recently restarted from the beginning after a break from running of three months, even though I have been running for nearly eight years.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Probably better to have started from week 1 so your knee has time to get used to running .The aim is to progress at the program rate as it takes time for your body to adjust to running
