Wintry but not quite the antarctic, but the driving rainy-sleet really didn't make it any easier π₯Ά.
The gremlins had sneakily lit the stove, so it's either a cosy warm sit down or well....
No option really, I've gotten this far and the red January thing it drags you out of the door, whatever the weather, be it rain, hail wind or snow! But hey remember if it's dangerous simply don't, I definitely don't run alongside the canal if it's icy and I've had to run on the playing field once when the snow stopped me running elsewhere π¨οΈπ.
Today was a very mushy ( brooks cascadia trail shoes) towpath run. Not a soul about, but after that intial shock of leaving the warm house, the running was invigorating. Ok it wasn't a shorts wearing run, I wimped out in favour of the two in one shorts and tights combo, Definitely gloves, hat and buff.
30 runs down 1 to go.........
If you're thinking of starting running, stop thinking, and start you'll not regret it!!!
Perhaps next January the dream will become reality, i tried last year but then really wasnβt well and ended up in hospital so a good excuse i think π€
Well done Imc. I might have been inspired by you today, but itβs my all important rest day! In any case, Iβve watched as you have run every day in January and am in awe ππππ. Only one day left! Canβt wait for your post tomorrow. π
That's kind Rebecca π₯°, if it does urge that one person him or her to get out there then hey I'm all smiles, and keeping healthy now is so more important than ever before π
(I've not forgotten you're coming on a virtual Welsh run when you're all mended btw π)
Once I am back out running I will, would really like to do it. Imagine it will be doing the run independently but that is fine. Just want to make sure I will up to it so will wait a few months but feeling hopeful
You are almost at the finish line! One day left and well done for beating those gremlins. January has been challenging all the seasons packed into one full month...π¨π¦π§οΈπ¦οΈπ₯οΈπ€οΈπββοΈπ
Massive well done! My legs will be glad of a rest but Iβve loved running every day. I will have withdrawal symptoms on rest days π€£ Hereβs to Monday ππ½
Thanks Hidden . I do feel lucky living by the sea. But you have fantastic scenery where you are too! Iβm unfortunately not running for a bit though, calf pain in one small area on right leg and hip pain on the right too! πGoing to be a good lass and rest up.
Iβve found your RED January journey really inspiring and watching your runs on Strava has really impressed me given the times youβve been achieving and the commitment youβve shown to getting out the door every. single. day.
Itβs a fantastic achievement - I hope your run tomorrow gives you best feeling ever!
Iβm actually contemplating perhaps trying this out - well, February is a shorter month after all πππ
Wow thank you Kevin41 , the only thing I've to improve on is that faffage time from waking up, to breakfast and actually getting out of the house π it's pretty much bang on 2hrs everyday.....
You've done so well to get this far, especialy with the weather we've had, you were never going to listen to those gremlins, it will be quite a moment tomorrow, bit like graduation, 5k, 10k, etc!!! πππ
