Welcome to the forum.

Being overweight does not prevent anyone from starting C25K but obviously will incur greater stresses on joints and bones. A better measure would be the ability to walk briskly for thirty minutes.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Things slot into place once you commit to overhauling your health. Food, walking, then as the weight comes down you start to feel better and able to go that bit further

I made the leap into unchartered C25k when a lass at my WW class told me about it, set me up with the podcasts, and waved me off. My biggest fear was donning Lycra. I kept my jogs a secret from everyone except for here πŸ™‚

Shifted nearly five stones and now can run a marathon. Thanks to this awesome programme

The lovely thing is that you do it best by going slowly.

You see all shapes, sizes and abilities while you’re out doing the programme. Nothing is a barrier it would seem πŸ™‚
