Voice-only programmes with own music

Graduated my C25K this week! Definitely closer to 4 and a bit k! Need to work on speed now. Can anyone recommend any programmes or apps that still have someone speaking to you but allow you to still use your own music? I need another Michael Jordan to keep my going as I can't rely on myself! All the apps I've seen make you listen to their music. Would be very grateful for any advice! Thank you.

What should be spoken to you? Because apps like e-for example Runkeeper allow you to listen to your music and you can put it that you get every X minutes someone telling you how long or how far or whatever you have ran up till that moment.

Thanks. I guess the equivalent of the C25K voice giving encouragement and telling you how far you've run and how long you have left, but focusing on speed rather than distance.

With Runkeeper you can get regular updates on your speed (eg. every minute or every 5 minutes or whatever you like). But there are no encouragements, only statistics.

Don't look on it as being tough........relax and enjoy it.

You could try to do this for yourself, every km or mile make a point if telling yourself "we're doing great" "look at us now" "we've got this"

It's really good to learn to give yourself credit but it also eventually silences those voices in your head saying can't do this 👍🏻

I still do this now if I'm struggling. I will literally at times repeat Go Go Jo Jo in time with my feet.... I also bargain with myself... you can have a snack at mile 10 or if we just make it to 16 I promise I'll stop! Whatever works 👍🏻🤣

Or a Danny Dyer voice shouting, "Pick up those feet, you muppet!" every minute?

Thanks everyone. I know it's pretty sad that I need someone to push me! Just surprised there are no equivalent programmes post C25K that work the same way.

You could try the Nike Run Club app. They have guided runs, many with the wonderful coach Bennett (when you’ve got used to him). I love these guided runs and use them frequently. You can play your music in between his thoughts/ direction, but I prefer not to.

I agree with Jools2020 download the Nike Run Club App, lots of coached runs of various times and distances to choose from on that 👍🏃‍♀️
