This might sound a stupid question to some, but is there a technique to running up hills?

Running up hill?
Slowly 🥵 but i still try and avoid them! 🤣
I find I get a breathing rhythm on the flat and a particular stride length, on the ups the stride lengths shortens and I slow down and consciously change the breathing to match that....a bit Zen but it tunes me in to the slower pace for the hill.
I try and keep the same rhythm of my steps but make them shorter - so I end up feeling like I'm tiptoeing up the hill. It's slower but I find it helps me conserve energy!
Maintain cadence, reduce stride length, pump arms in opposition to legs, keep head up.
You'll find various different techniques for hills shuffleido. Some runners if it's safe regarding traffic will zig zag a hill, others and it's perfectly permissable! If your running speed is slow, walk the hill, conserve your legs, rest your palms on your thighs, this also helps your legs to keep walking to a good rhythm 👍. Try different things you'll find what works for you..
