Hiya,
1st of January and my first run of the year. I don't use the C25K app anymore because I can't run 20 minutes in 1 go, I need walking breaks. So I wing it and go solo, 30 minutes of running with 2 walking breaks (till my body wants to go further).
Today I tried a guided run of Nike Running Club of 30 mins. I did find the chatter a little bit annoying. In general when I run, my brain shuts itself off. And having to focus on someone talking is annoying. Next time I am going to try a non-guided run just with music and a voice telling me how many mins I am in.
About NRC, my phone battery drained from 88% to 2% during those 30 mins. Any idea how that happens? Maybe I can turn off the GPS (I use a Garmin watch so it can take the info from there)?
As for the run. I wore an additional fleece vest over my shirt and body warmer, but half way in I had to lose the fleece vest. It was warmer than I had anticipated. Does anyone use those separate sleeves? Are they handy? Anyhow, the run. From the start my breathing was off and I could not get it right. I ran a bit out of breath the whole run. I walked 2 times for a minute (after 11 and 8 minutes), which is my best so far.
Despite the breathing issue I felt glad I went for a run. Happy I did it 😁. On to the second run of 2021!
