So I started end of July, graduated C25K in early October and have been consolidating my runs ever since. I am a very slow runner so focus on time rather than distance and so far have managed up to 41 mins. This is by far the longest I’ve stuck to running and even managed a few road runs due to lockdown, yay! Now though I’m having a major op in Jan so no running for at least 6 weeks afterwards, maybe even up to 3 months after. Bit peeved that this will set me back to square one and all this would have been for nothing. Just wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience and if you have any advice, tips etc... Thank you🙂

Back to square one?
It happens to many of us and knowing that C25K works is great when you have to restart. If your time away from running is more than a couple of months or so, then it is well worth reconditioning your body to the impact and gently increasing your resistance to injury by starting from scratch and resist the temptation to attempt what you previously managed with ease.
I am hoping to start C25K in the next few weeks. It will be my third journey through the programme.
I know it works for me and it will work for you.
Thank you IannodeTruffe. You are right of course - words of wisdom that I need to remember! Did it once, can do it again. Best of luck with your imminent C25K journey😀👍and thank you for your reply. First time I've posted on here so was a bit concerned if anyone would respond! Great to have the support🙂
