Only planned to run for 30 minutes yesterday, I dressed up in leggings and hooded sports top it wasn't frosty like it was for my Christmas Day run, though Storm Bella had passed though overnight.
Just getting warmed up with the toxic 10 when the heavens opened, wind picked up I continued to run in the heavy rain and then a hail storm arrived (felt it stinging on my face) luckily my top did its job and kept the majority of me dry.
It didn't last for long and soon cleared still I kept running at a steady pace I felt a bit of a shin splint in my left leg which I think was down to me starting too quick (something that I need to master) I ran steady and picked up the pace in the last minute.
I monitor my times to check on my performance and even though I thought I didn't do so well when I checked after the run I was surprised.
Time 30:05
10 mins split times 6:41, 6:32, 6:16, 5:48
Hope that you had a safe and peaceful Christmas and best of luck with your running in 2021
