Today was my second run to my 5K Christmas Day run and just as I started it rained which soon stopped and I was concentration on getting into the rhythm during the "toxic10" I know why now, and eventually got into the swing of things halfway though the run and I picked up the pace during the last 5 minutes or so.
The last bit was downhill when it started to rain, very cooling, I completed the full circuit in 33:14 at total distance of 5.25km and I felt really good especially I noticed that my pace had slightly improved from my last run from 06.32 to 06.19
10 Minute Splits 6:37, 6:23, 6.07, 5.56
Now looking forward to doing this on Christmas Morning and if you are thinking that you aren't improving after every run, the truth is that you are, change will be gradual and you will only notice them over time.
Have a safe and peaceful Christmas and keep up the running in 2021.
