Any ideas? When doing my ‘run’ I have tightness in my right side of my calf. I know my body is getting used to being active (gone from couch potatoe to couch to 5k) just completed week 2 run 3.

Tightness in right calf
Are you doing any stretches after a run?
The NHS recommended set is:
nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h...
If you want to just stretch your calves, I can recommend numbers 3, 4 and 5 from this set:
foot-pain-explored.com/calf...
NB. Don't do static stretches like these before a run.
funny you should say that. I got to week 4 before my calf hurt. I took complete rest for 2 weeks, I then walked for 2 weeks, then did Week 1 twice, my next run tomorrow is W2R2. I took the advice on here, to a)increase the daily amount of water and b)to do dynamic stretches before running and static stretches after running. So far so good. I will also take on board the knee strengthening exercises. I dont know how old you are, but at 68 this sort of thing was to be expected I suppose 🚶♀️
I’m only 25 so still a spring chicken! On the very heavy side though so could be why. Maybe I’m just pop sided 😂 will take the stretches into consideration. I don’t drink hardly any water (even before taking up c25k)
ooh naughty person - read the guide regarding water!😁
