C25K Completed

W9 R3 was a planned 5K route through gorgeous Saddleworth countryside. I was so excited to do this Graduation Run! Started well and did a couple of hills then had the reward of a downhill though a lovely setting. At 3.8K my right shin started to cramp! so I thought, got to shake this off but just persisted through the last 1.2K but I got there. At 59 and being 16St I think pain is always part of the process but I feel great now I have done this! My time was 36mins 21 secs. I always seem to average 7mins 21sec per Kilometre. Looking forward now I aim to run twice a week at this distance for the foreseeable future maybe building up speed and losing some weight!

Congratulations, brilliant achievement, and a very good pace, probably faster than alot, doing graduation runs! I'm 57, same sort of weight, but much slower, and have done 4 weeks of consolidation runs!👏👏🏆🏆🎉🎉
