Confession time for me, I have NEVER drank Whisky, some people take it neep, that's without anything to dilute it such as lemonade or water.

I am sure if there was a distillery in every town in the North of Scotland there would still be enough Whisky for everyone to drink, sorry to say alcohol consumption in Scotland causes quite a few domestic and health issues.

Yes. While living on Shetland I didn't visit any pubs as I was informed that they were just places people went to drink themselves silly.

According to Wikipedia there is one legal Distillery in Shetland, legal, how many illegal is a mystery.

Apparently there are 5 in the Orkney Isles and 1 in Shetland.
