Had a lovely run with my daughter (she was on her bike) this morning. Appreciated the autumn leaves 🍁 at the end of my run when I was walking home! X

Great photo!

However, two questions:

First, why haven't you claimed your graduate badge yet?

Second, have you been able to get beyond 25 minutes again?

Thanks. I don’t know how long ago it was that I did my 3 runs of week 9 (30 mins) and then since then it went messy!! Never seemed to be able to get back there. So never got to do consolidation runs. Today was 3x10 mins with 1 or 2 mins walk in between each segment. Felt I had a small break through today with slightly slower running and feeling not bad at the end that I thought if I did a few more repeats of today then I’m going to try for the elusive 30 minute non-stop again 🤞

I'd suggest doing a couple of 25 min runs after that rather than going to 30 minutes straight away. Just be careful you don't do too much too soon. If you haven't run seriously since June you might be setting yourself up for injury.

Things went wrong for me after the W9R3 run. I completed it but gained a pair of ankle sprains and a shin splint just before the end. A month off with two physio visits. I'm slowly working back. I did 20 mins yesterday and am going to follow the progression of C25K from now onwards.

If I qualify for a badge you do too.

Thanks. Sorry to hear about your injuries, v annoying.

I have kept up running all the way through but had just been failing to do longer non stop runs. It was getting to me but then starting trying to think more positively, if I did 3 x 8 mins or similar it was still good exercise and that I can build from there - good luck

OK. Just don't "push". Listen to your body and you'll be fine. You're already doing the right thing in going slower. I'm sure you'll be fine. 👍
