W9R2 Tortoise wins the race!

After 4 weeks on the injury couch and 4 weeks of rest and gentle strengthening exercises, I nervously ventured out this afternoon. Kept the pace slow as I worried I would cause injury again with only the 2 runs left.

Did loads of dynamic stretches before heading off and made the conscious effort to keep a slower steady pace. After Jo said I had completed the first ten minutes, I knew I hadn’t ran as far as the last run. But it didn’t matter because I was back out in the fresh air enjoying running 😀 I’m on the home straight now after 19 weeks with 1 run left to do ! I really really can’t believe it.

I was so pleased when i completed the run today after being on the couch for so long. Renewed determination has returned for the last run.

So so excited to for final run of the programme 😊

Good luck to everyone running this weekend 🏃‍♀️

That's incredible after such a long time out of action, well done!

It gives me hope too as I am resting an injury with one run to go before graduating! 🙁

You can do it!

Well done. You might find Japanese Slow Jogging helpful - Nico Nico . Worth a Google.
