Calm it down and focus!

So been awhile since I posted, since getting to week 7 with the longer runs I've learnt to give myself more rest days so I enjoy rather than trigger my pain condition. I was amazed how good completing week 7 felt. Actually felt like a runner lol. Treated myself to winter gear so no excuse not to use running lol.

Today was week 8 run 1, I was in the countryside visiting my folks, last ran here in week 3 so pacing went out the window. Set off too fast, nearly triggered asthma off with the fresh air. After 5 mins I was ready to quit! Suddenly all training came back, I calmed down refocused, slowed into steady pace and got my breathing under control. It worked, 28 mins, 4.8km done!

Must remember not to panic next time!

Well done you for taking control back 👌

that’s my nemesis too starting off too fast ( even though my body says it’s ok ) then two I in and I’m so not enjoying it 🙂

Steady works for me but I have to concentrate on that first ten minutes 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️👍
