When I was younger (I am now 50) I used to be extremely fit doing a lot of swimming and playing a lot of squash and badminton at a high level. Age has caught up with me and I have lost my fitness and gained too much weight especially in the lock down! In addition 5 years ago I fully ruptured my Achilles tendon while playing hockey. Since then I have done very little for fear of rupturing it again. I am now considering starting the Couch to 5K (which is also an excuse for me to buy a new fitness watch!). I am wondering if anyone has any tips as I don't want to risk another Achilles tendon injury and I am also likely to have a tendency to believe I can do more than I can due to once being quite active and being a lot fitter than I am now!
