Hi ..... just started this morning ...... not going to lie .... it was a struggle BUT I'm determined to do this ...... we can ALL do this 😍

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

If any run is a struggle just slow down...........you need to be able to speak clear ungasping sentences as you run.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Yes you can do this and in a few weeks time you will look back and wonder why on earth was those one minute runs so difficult. good luck.

YES, you can do this, just follow the programme, don't skip anything, and go slow slow slow

Hi Flipflopbabe,

have you finished your session?

If so, you're doing very well and you're on the right way!!!

Run slow, you do not want to get exhausted at end of your session, but just to gain stamina.

Keep a nice and steady pace and step by step you'll reach your target.

Are you using any C25K podcast?

Music and somebody else from you keeping the time is a great help to keep that thought that tells you how tired you are relegated to a little more remote corner of your head.

I've just had a shower after my first session of week 8... Incredible! (week8, not the shower :D)

Just a suggestion: focus on each session one by one, don't look at what will be the next one until you'll have do it.

Keep on, we'll do it!

Hi ..... I did my first session this morning ..... I'm using the NHS podcast ..... gave me plenty of motivation ..... bloody knackered once I'd finished, but after a shower I felt like a human again 🤣 will be taking the dog for a good walk along the beach tomorrow ..... thank you for your message & encouragement ..... we can & will do this ...... I will focus on each session & tackle it head on 💪
