Well that wasn’t good, you lot must be sick of me coming on here and moaning on. I’m going out this evening for a meal so I decided to run today at lunchtime, I knew in the first 5mins things weren’t right my breathing was laboured and pace was all over the shop, it turns out I was actually running too fast I see from the analysis The weather was fine and warm and eventually the halfway bell rang in my ear, it was time to turn back that’s when I felt a pain below my right knee in my calf. I tried stretching and rubbing I even tried a little swear but the run was over. Unfortunately I was about 1 1/2 miles from home which meant a long limp home.
I don’t know, Thursday’s run went well, physically at least this time the electronics worked well shame about my old chassis.

Listen to your body. Calf pain could lead to further injury ( voice of experience from fairly novice runner). Stretch after. Ice after. Massage if you can but rest if it doesn’t improve. The runs will be waiting when you’re fit. Good luck!
Oh mate, I'm gutted for you. I hope the injury clears up quickly and the omelette helped a little. Didn't you say you had an injury before too? Hopefully back on the plan soon, you've come too far not to finish.
Yes I actually started this 9 weeks ago so that means up till now I’ve had 3 weeks off and it looks like I’ll be in the bench first another week or so. But yes the runs will be there when I get back to it, I’ll not be quitting, my shoes cost too much!
Excellent idea not quitting, those shoes are worth running in! I ran injury free, then calf pain from nowhere 🙃.
Advice rest it don't rush it, it'll pay dividends, oh and definitely well it worked for me calf compression sleeves, ease the strain on your muscles and a fraction of the cost compared with your running pumps👍
Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to research compression sleeves, are they similar to supports stockings they use in hospital if you’ve been lying still too long?
Exactly the same but only a tad more sporty with go faster stripes 😁 sizing is generally small, medium and large , you don't want to squish your muscles too much!
