A great read, thanks for the share Instructor57 but - ugh, I recoiled at β€˜sexy run’! πŸ₯΄πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ˜†

At least she’d make a great motivational coach for me - all she’d need to do is say β€˜run sexy’ and I’d bolt in the opposite direction! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ 😁

Interesting article! So, I run at a 'sexy pace' nearly all the time then, so will stop referring to it as snail's pace now! πŸ˜‚ Seriously though, I know this works as my shorter runs are now a little bit, but naturally, faster.

Yes, sexy running is the way to go πŸ˜‚

But yes, it is noticeable after a while

Yes, me too! πŸ˜„ Although the slow pace calculator made me realise that my slow pace was probably not quite slow enough & made me feel psychologically better about being even slower instead of thinking β€œthis is ridiculous”. πŸ˜„

Yes, it's good to know πŸ˜πŸ‘

I want to do this but I find it hard. OK for a while then drift back to my natural pace.... and it makes my legs ache. I can never work out whether to take same number of steps but shorter or slow the whole action down like slow motion!!

Instructor57Graduate in reply to Maz1103

Yes, I agree , it's not easy !

Shorter steps seems to be the way but even that I find reverts back to what feels natural

Did a slow run today.. Kept pace to 7'57 average for 30 minutes (3.9k). Like we said was hard to do but felt very fresh after so assume it was successful 😁

Great read. It explains it well although it seems counterintuitive.

It’s a shame eating more doesn’t make you lose weight faster πŸ˜‚

Instructor57Graduate in reply to Frizzbomb67

Haha, I've tried and can assure you it dosent πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Instructor57 profile image
Instructor57Graduate in reply to Frizzbomb67

I thought if I'm running I can eat what I want !

Soon discovered that's not true πŸ˜‚

Great article thanks - music to my 🐌 ears! πŸ˜‚

I especially love the fat burn bit!! I am in that frustrating place of having lost most of the weight I need to shed, but will those last few pounds come off?? πŸ™„
