First run was a bit "blimey" and I was so glad to hear 'You can slow down now".
Second run was on the first day of this warm spell and I certainly felt it getting to around the 20 minute mark when some charmer yelled "You are still fat!" from his noisy-exhaust chav mobile. I hope he saw the nice little bird I gave him in his rear-view mirror I really don't care what others think at least I'm trying to do something about the slightly chunky waistline that some of us ladies of a certain age and with certain medical conditions (hypothyroidism) have, so he can just bu&&er off!
Third run I really enjoyed even though it was just as warm. Even managed to pick up the pace for the last 5 minutes, though sadly the telemetry didn't show much overall difference between Run 2 and 3. But it was better in my head!
So now I approach my final week. I'm so excited! I'll give R1 a go tomorrow. Off to the gym now to get under the barbell.
Have a grrrrreat weekend everyone and don't let what's on the news get you down wherever you are.☮️

I've done W9 R1 &2 and it went OK. Yesterday's run was very warm and I was wringing with sweat at the end (niiiiice!) and for the first time ended the run with calves truly like blocks of wood! Not injured as the discomfort went as soon as I slowed into a walk. Too much lactic acid I guess as I was in Zone 5 as far as heart rate goes. That is something I really want to get down so I can have more of a choice in training with heart rate zones. I guess the hot weather didn't help and I'm sure I was hydrated enough, oh well.
It's just because I'm unfit and it'll take time, my VO2 max isn't great. Even if I run very slowly (which I do most of the time) the old heart rate zooms up! I would love for it to be lower when jogging so that I can get more of the aerobic benefit, at the moment that is only achievable through brisk walking.
There certainly are. Great thing is, I don't really care what they think. My journey, not theirs!
You just keep going and ignore that obnoxious creep in the chavmobile. He couldn’t do what you have achieved so far and only one run to graduate 🎓. Well done you.
I had a brain dead moron upset me too this week ! And I’m gonna hold my head high and run my ass off !! So much support on this site. You are so close to graduation!! I am just behind you so meet you at the finish line 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
I've just got back from the gym. Just had a slight twinge in one of my knees doing squats at the bottom of the movement and I wasn't even up to working weight only warm-ups😲 Immediately stopped the exercise, I think it was probably a knee tracking issue. I'm going to rest up and not risk last run until Thursday or Friday. Bah!😦
