Does anyone else find running fun most days then have a run where you actually can’t wait to stop πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I did today, yet I actually got a good time & faster! How’s that work? I felt slightly disappointed with my run but then checked my time. I was really chuffed, I’m doing around 6k now πŸ˜ƒ I’ve found it ok, hasn’t got easier but I’m definitely quicker 🀩

Yes I felt like that this evening! Managed a 5k in reasonable time but was hard and not as enjoyable as previous run where I managed to do longest at 8k. Sort of heavy legs. From previous posts I blame lack of water as had only drunk around 1 water bottle.

Yes I’m thinking that may have been part of my problem too! Lack of water and possibly not in the mood πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ but we did it!!

To be honest, I’m not sure I actually enjoyed any of the running in the early weeks of c25k, but I so enjoyed the feeling when it was finished.

However, 2.5 years later I do love most of the runs but there is always that meh one thrown in to test us.

The toxic 10 still there though.

Keep running, keep safe

You were running hard, hence being faster.

Most of us don't actually enjoy working very hard, which is why we encourage people to slow down and enjoy their running.

Not only is the slower pace more enjoyable it is also more efficient at building the solid aerobic base required to run further and faster.
