I completed C25K in January, then didn't run for a while. Started the process again in June to support a friend, managed much better and keeping up running. Lost 2stone as a bonus. What do people do to get faster/run longer. Don't want to do 10k, but like having plan, structure to listen to, not very good at setting my own goals.
Any suggestions welcome, really need to keep the focus, and keep going.

I used the Nike Run Club 5k plan after graduation and consolidation . It’s free and will vary your runs up, with some speed work, but also with a longer run. You can pick a “race” date, number of weekly runs, and input information about your current running, and it’ll do the rest. If you want some coaching, the same app has guided runs... if you have 5k run on the plan you can use a guided run instead of just having updates, and once complete it’ll prompt you to apply it to a plan run. Coach Bennett is amazing... talks a lot, but will have you running the right way. The only issue with this is, it will keep pushing the long run distance up, so if you give it the maximum number of weeks (26 I think) it will have you running 10 mile runs. This can be avoided by keeping the plan short.
Thank you. In a year, I want to still be running about 5k 3 x a week. Possibly just a bit faster. Feeling so much better by being lighter and fitter, just need bit of something to keep the motivation
