Didn't have a great night's sleep, kept waking up, no idea why?! Anyway, up and out early ('no point lying here, mornings won't be this light for much longer, etc') and off I went for my planned 5K.
Didn't enjoy the first 2K at all, just couldn't seem to get into it or get my breathing right despite telling myself to slow/calm down, felt strange somehow, just wanted to finish the 5K at a 'nice plod' but that wasn't working. Finally seemed to settle at my half way point and thought that I will finish it after all if I just keep going as I'm a bit more comfortable now.
Strava said 4K complete and something happened, my legs took off and I just started running (not plodding) - the last K finished at my fastest ever pace and I was laughing as I went - must have looked like a mad thing! 5K in 36 mins!
No idea what happened this morning and didn't overall particularly enjoy it but how strange to go from, this is hard work/might not finish to hurtling (slight exaggeration) along.....
Next run will be a longer/slow one.
