So yesterday I completed W2 but oh boy (no I wasn’t listening to Mud for those of you old enough to know what I mean!🤣) was the last run hard. I went out early, but clearly not early enough! It’s hot and very humid at the moment where we are currently, and the temperature didn’t get below 22 deg overnight so not sure night running would help! I went out having warmed up and hydrated well as usual, but the last run was a struggle (just as Justin Bieber started singing in my ear ‘What Do You Mean, obviously reading my mind 😂) and I’ve never been so thankful for the air con as I almost fell back into the house 🥴
I was so disappointed as R2 had felt pretty comfortable, however, I’m telling myself I did it and in 26 deg and 80% humidity 🥵 (which is far worse than the temp. itself) and we live up a bit of an incline so wherever I go the last run is always slightly uphill. Thankfully it levels out for the last walk as lovely Jo tells me I’ve done it 💪
I’m now rather more anxious about W3 than I previously was and the prospect of doing a 3 min. run let alone 5 mins 😳 Thankfully the temp. is forecast for a bit lower tomorrow early on and less humidity so having read all your inspirational posts and spurred on by the support and humour I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’ll make it 🤞🙏
I’m feeling so sorry for all you guys at home running in the rain and wind today, altho’ am just a tiny bit envious as it sounds from what’s been said that it’s rather refreshing 🌧
