W8 - The rollercoaster

After absolutely cursing through week 7, week 8 run 1 was a god send. I felt good pretty much all the way through and even carried on the run for an extra minute or so afterwards just because I felt I had gas in the tank.

Week 8 run 2 on the other hand was a real struggle. Had a prolonged period from about the 8 minute to 20 minute mark where everything felt tight and heavy and the breathing felt NQR. Then there were 5 good minutes just in time for me to run out of gas. I didn't run the extra minute and was glad to see the back of it. Curious to see what run 3 has in-store.

I have to admit, I'm looking forward to week 9. Both because the week-on-week jump is the smallest for a while in the program and the mental device of counting down to 'freedom' will surely help.

The week-on-week increases between Weeks 7, 8 and 9 are indeed decreasing:

25 → 28 is 12%

28 → 30 is 7%

So, yes, the final week is less of a jump than the previous one.
